September News from Ms. Kelly and the Toddler Class

News from the Toddler Class

By Mrs. Kelly Behn

The Toddler Room is in full swing.  During the month of September the children

became comfortable in their new environment with new friends.  October brings a

change in season and cooler weather.  So please put your child's name in their

coat, and send in a pair of long pants for their bin in the classroom.  During

the month of October we will be painting pumpkins, gluing leaves, and discussing

the change of season as we walk to the park.  We will continue to visit the park

each class time weather permitting.

Important October dates to remember are:

·     Monday, Oct. 11th No School

·     Thursday, Oct. 14th Picture Day

·     Tuesday, Oct. 19th  Pumpkin hunt in the park during class time

·     Sunday, Oct. 24th at 3:00pm All school Halloween party at Thomas Middle

School

This is a great time of year to spend outside with your child.  You can walk to

the neighborhood park.  Give your child a bucket or bag to collect leaves or

pinecones from your yard or on a nature walk.  Let them draw on the sidewalk

with chalk and if you are up for it, let them help plant the fall bulbs.

Whatever you do make sure you get outside and enjoy nature with your child.

Happy fall!

September News from Mrs. Cerabona and the 3-6 year old classrooms

By Mrs. Cerabona

Welcome to all our new families, and welcome back to all of our returning

friends!

September is always an exciting month for both the teachers and friends coming

back together for another year.  As we reacquaint ourselves with friends and

classroom work, it is amazing to see how much the children have grown.  The

parents will have their first peek into their child’s classroom on parent

information night.  As we all await the cooler crisper days of fall, we will

learn about the life cycle of an apple and celebrate Johnny Appleseed’s

birthday.  The children have a great time making applesauce together and

discussing their favorite type of apple.  I wish everyone a wonderful new school

year!
